A PowerShell script can help you automate finish the job.

  1. Download the script from TechNet Gallery onto your tablet or computer and de-compress them to C:.
  2. Swipe in from right panel, tap Search and type PowerShell. Select it from result, run the commandRemove-OSCAppxPackageInput the IDs of each App you want to remove, and then confirm the action.
  3. If you want to completely erase all pre-installed modern apps on Windows 8, try the command:Get-AppXProvisionedPackage -online | Remove-AppxProvisionedPackage -online

    I have a surface without the keyboard so don’t have right click functionality, how do I remove apps in that case? The typical, tap and hold doesn’t deliver the corresponding right click context as it does in other apps. I’m using RT.
